Consistent with our mission statement, the IIA provides policy input to Government and advocacy on a range of business and regulatory issues, to promote laws and initiatives enhancing access, equity, reliability and growth of the Internet within Australia.

Policy development in a rapidly changing digital world is complex and hard. There are few precedents we can rely on. The IIA works closely with the relevant Australian Government Departments to provide with an Internet Industry perspective. IIA members benefit from the sharing of information gained through these close-working relationships.
