IIA Privacy Code Subscribers, that is, businesses and organisations who have agreed to be bound by the IIA Code, will be permitted to use an approved symbol or special words (samples shown).

 As a condition of their use, these designations must link to a "public information resource" webpage which the IIA is creating. It will detail the operation of the Codes and will show who has agreed to comply. It also provides information about how to resolve a complaint about privacy, as well as providing a copy of the Code and a non-technical summary of its main aspects.
